REPORT: Our Promise of Accountability
 The reception Blueprint Louisiana received from citizens, civic organizations, political candidates and elected officials indeed proved many believed Louisiana could do better. More than 3,000 citizens are now Blueprint members, and 47 organizations have endorsed the Blueprint Agenda. We thank those supporters, and we need them all. This critical mass of support made possible Blueprint’s accomplishments in 2008 - passing legislation to implement several of the Blueprint Agenda items.
This report recaps the creation of the Blueprint Agenda and reviews the votes on the specific Blueprint Agenda items that occurred in this year’s three legislative sessions. We are very pleased to report much has been accomplished with the near-universal support of the Louisiana Legislature. Thus far, legislators have lived up to their commitments made during the 2007 campaign to help us create the state we deserve. We commend them for doing what they pledged they would do. |
